01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the charming heart of Larkspur, Pizzeria Picco offers a lovingly crafted Neapolitan-style pizza experience that’s as inviting as its warm, cozy atmosphere. From the moment you step inside—or settle into one of their beautiful indoor or outdoor dining areas—you’re enveloped in an ambiance that strikes the perfect balance between casual and refined, making it ideal for everything from intimate dinners to lively gatherings.

Pizzeria Picco’s menu is a celebration of authentic Italian flavors with a contemporary twist. Start your meal with their enticing antipasti like the warm olives infused with rosemary, lemon, and garlic, or savor the delicate pairing of San Daniele prosciutto with organic wild arugula. For something heartier, the roasted pork and beef meatballs bathed in San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh torn basil, and melted mozzarella served with hearth flatbread, beautifully marry robust and comforting flavors.

When it comes to the star of the show—the pizza—each pie is a masterclass in wood-fired perfection. The crust boasts that signature light, chewy texture with a beautifully puffed edge, kissed by the intense heat of the oven’s flames, delivering an irresistible smokiness and slight char. The Margherita stands as a timeless choice, gracefully balanced with tomato sauce, fresh basil, and a dreamy mixture of mozzarella and parmesan, finished with de Padova’s extra virgin olive oil. For a more adventurous palate, the Son of Yeti, topped with hen of the woods mushrooms, leeks, thyme, fresh garlic, mozzarella, pecorino, and parmesan, offers an earthy, aromatic journey that leaves a deep impression at each bite.

Dessert at Pizzeria Picco is no afterthought—indulge in the spiced carrot cake with pepitas and lush cream cheese frosting, or cool down with Straus Dairy’s rich soft serve ice cream available in vanilla bean, chocolate, or their popular swirl.

Customer testimonials consistently highlight the authenticity and quality that define Pizzeria Picco. Longtime visitor Tazi raves about the “perfect puffed edge marked by the flames” and creative toppings that keep them coming back year after year, while Autumn Shepherd praises attentive staff and delicious entrees that compel a wholehearted recommendation. Even those seeking variety beyond pizza find joy in dishes like the comforting rigatoni or the vibrant mezze platter, complemented by a thoughtfully curated cocktail list.

Whether you’re a devoted pizza aficionado or simply in search of a relaxed yet refined dining experience in Larkspur, Pizzeria Picco promises an evocative and flavorful journey. It’s not just a meal—it’s a celebration of tradition, craftsmanship, and genuine hospitality that stays with you long after the last bite.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Pizzeria Picco! In fact we’ve been coming for years and it’s always amazing! If you like Napolitan style pizza, you’d love Picco. The soar dow is light and chewy. It has that perfect puffed edge marked by the flames of the wood burning oven. The toppings are creative and full of flavor. I usually order the wild mushrooms and thyme pizza, which never disappoints. We started with the ceviche and it was delicious. We also ordered a heartwarming dish of squid ink spaghetti with the freshest seafood mix and a creative marinara sauce with a spiced up edge. We finished with a bowl of creamy vanilla bean ice cream topped with their amazing olive oil and sea salt. The service is friendly. You feel at home at your local restaurant. The heat lamps make it super cozy for an outdoor seating. Thank you guys for always taking care of us

Located on a strip so beautiful and populated, we had reservations so we were able to come in and sit right down. It was kind of a bummer to be told pizza was only served outside so we were stuck with the other menu and it was okay. I had the calamari, it was a little gummy but the sauce was amazing. The crispy chicken Parmesan entree was okay. Very crispy but could have used a little more flavoring. I would come back.

Amazing pizza and Caesar salad. The Specialized was so good... The sausage and pepperoni were the best I have tasted outside of Rome Italy. Thin and delicious pizzas just like Roma. What a gem this place is... I can't wait to return for the dinner service.

Tried the margarita and Marin pizzas. Ingredients tasted fresh, however the flavors were a bit lacking for my taste, but may be personal preference. Overall was a decent lunch with a nice atmosphere.
